How we handle information on our editorial pages and email list.
Who we are
Crispberry (https://crispberry.co.uk) is operated by Fleeta Limited (trading as Crispberry), registered in England and Wales under company number 16675897, registered office 50 Princes Street, Ipswich IP1 1RJ, United Kingdom. Fleeta Limited is the data controller for the personal data described here and is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZC229278.

What we collect, and why
When you join our email list
We collect your email address. We also note which page you signed up on, and, if you used a "tell me first" box on a product page, which product you were interested in. We record the date you asked to join, the date you confirmed, and which version of our sign-up wording you saw.
We use this to send you our newsletter and to let you know when our shop or a product you asked about becomes available. Our legal basis is your consent. We use double opt-in: you are only added after you click the link in our confirmation email. If you never click it, we delete the unconfirmed request within 30 days.
Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works with one click. After you unsubscribe we keep your address on a suppression list, marked as unsubscribed, so that we do not email you again by mistake.
When you email us
We receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it to reply. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us. We delete routine correspondence after 24 months.
When you visit our editorial pages
Our editorial pages use cookie-free analytics and no advertising pixels. This statement does not cover the separate online shop.
We count visits in a way that does not identify anyone: for each page we store one number per day, and for each website that sends us visitors we store one number per day. We do not store your IP address, your browser details or any identifier alongside those numbers, so they are not personal data.
We also use Ahrefs Web Analytics for aggregate reports of page visits, referral sources, browser/device types, language and approximate country/city. Ahrefs processes IP addresses to derive location and daily visitor counts and says it does not store raw IP addresses or use persistent identifiers. It can record link clicks and form-submission events. We do not add newsletter addresses or form-field contents to analytics, and exclude newsletter confirmation/unsubscribe pages and search results from this script.
Like every web server, ours keeps a technical log of requests: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page and the browser's user-agent string. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and working. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe service. The logs are rotated daily and deleted after 14 days.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Our website and email list run on a dedicated server we rent from OVH, located in England. OVH hosts the machine and acts as our processor; it does not use the data for its own purposes. If we start using another service provider that handles personal data for us, for example an email delivery service, we will name it here before we do.
Ahrefs provides the external analytics described above. Its privacy information explains its processing arrangements. Cloudflare Turnstile helps protect our forms against automated abuse.
We may disclose information if the law requires it.
International transfers
Our own website database and email-list records are stored on our UK server. External providers, including Ahrefs and Cloudflare, process service data through their own infrastructure, which may be outside the UK. Their privacy information explains those processing arrangements: Ahrefs and Cloudflare.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct it if it is wrong;
- ask us to delete it;
- ask us to restrict or stop using it, including the right to object where we rely on legitimate interests;
- receive the data you gave us in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, which for the email list simply means unsubscribing.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.
Children
This website is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has joined our email list, email us and we will remove them.
Changes to this notice
This notice covers our editorial website and email list. Shopping involves separate order and delivery information and is covered by the privacy notice shown in the shop. The date at the bottom of the page shows when it last changed.
